Final Blog Post - Signing Off

This project has been a phenomenal experience for me personally. I've been able to work in an incredible team full of unique qualities and great dedication. I have thoroughly enjoyed this project; from the planning stage, to the production stage and the editing. This has helped me as a person and has really enhanced my knowledge in the filming sector of media which I am thankful for. Playing a super-hero isn't an everyday thing, but I suppose it wasn't as bad as I initially presumed. It's been a fluctuating journey but most of all it has been exciting & intriguing. Thank you for reading our blog! Goodbye😃 -Nahiyan

This film has been an intense learning curve for me. Despite the difficulty, I have really enjoyed every moment of it, and can't wait to prove myself in the next task.
I was lucky to have a really willing and flexible group who all were passionate about film, and knowledgeable in ways I wasn't - I was able to learn lots from them as I was from class. I also have gained lots of life skills like organisation and timekeeping that I'll use outside of media. -Arthur

Even though this project has been extremely stressful I enjoyed it a lot for the group was easy to work with even with some bumps here and there but overall we were as a unit rather strong and i'm pretty proud of how our rather unique idea turn out. Over this time frame although rather short I feel as if i have gained very valuable and adaptable skills.-Daniel

I believe that this project has taught me many things. One thing it has taught me is developing my I.T skills and knowledge in different softwares and presentation apps. It has also helped me in developing my teamwork skills and learning how to use a camera for filming. At times I felt a little stressed about posting my blogs on time and frequently but overall this experience has been wonderful and I hoped you enjoyed reading our blog. -Khadijah

Success of pitch

The pitch went extremely well and we received vital points on how to excel and develop our concept to achieve a higher level and a better narrative, im pleased that the idea was well received and accepted when I was worried it would be rejected by the majority a few things mentioned need to be changed though.

Coursework Evaluation Question 4 - Who would be the audience for your media product?

Above is the suggested target audience gathered from research with some dominant attributes even if it is conflicting from our ideal target audience.

Audience is a term when used in media is to refer to the people who are consuming a media product whether it is a newspaper, music or in this case film. The target audience this dominant type of people grouped together and categorised who a media product is aimed at for they are most likely to watch that type of media product, for example a cartoon on Nickelodeon would be advertised to children for they are most likely to watch it and therefore considered the "target audience" doing this effectively increases the amount of people seeing a film which then increases the overall profit.

I would say the wider audience for the typical superhero comedy genre would be men 25-40 years of age for research for both very successful films "kick-ass" and "The amazing Spider-Man" have shown this.

YouGovProfiles have shown a consistency in both gender and age for both films which is extremely convincing evidence that this should be our target audience. My only issue with this is that both films were high budget movies and both were also comics before even becoming films so are apart of a much bigger franchise meaning that it already has a massive following but you cannot ignore when 39.1% of the sample was 25-39 year olds.

The USP would be a person of colour playing the main character, the newer generation is evidently more modern thinking and left leaning and evidence suggests that even the older generation that enjoys superhero comedies are also left leaning so they are much more likely to watch the film especially when there is currently such a deprivation of representation in the film industry at the moment so this will attract people.
